Job Description:
Chrisp Company, specializing in the highway improvement construction industry for over 40 years is seeking a Parts Assistant for our Fremont, California shop.
Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 4:30 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Order all parts and issue purchase orders for mechanics and fabrication
- Receive parts and verify that the received parts agrees to the purchase order
- Create parts tags and tag all parts after being received
- Maintain a cycle count program to ensure inventory accuracy
- Track slow moving parts
- Completing quarterly inventory
- Process RTA paperwork for the accounting department.
- Create service kits for mechanics
- Pick up parts from various vendors when needed
- Update mileage and hours weekly
- Place parts in the appropriate areas within the parts room.
- Ensure the parts room remains clean and well-organized.
Housekeeping
- Ensure the cleanliness, housekeeping, safety, and maintenance of the maintenance shop through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs in compliance with safety and facility coordinators.
- Make sure all hazardous waste barrels are up to date and in compliance.
RTA
- Input all key information into RTA Fleet Management Software
- Attend RTA training classes
- Safety
- Observe and report on any safety issues. Maintain a zero-tolerance policy
- Ensure safety policy is followed while working in the shop and parts room
