Join our team as a Medical Assistant who provides hands-on back-office and clinical support to a vascular surgeon and physician assistant. The role involves patient care, procedure preparation and assistance, EHR documentation, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and escort patients to exam/procedure rooms.
- Collect and enter patient medical history and physical information into the EHR.
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms, including back tables and sterile equipment.
- Assist the physician and PA with minimally invasive vein procedures and patient positioning.
- Provide post-procedure support, including assisting patients with compression stockings.
- Prepare letters of medical necessity and assist with documentation for pre-authorizations.
- Maintain, organize, and monitor inventory of medical and clinical supplies.
- Turn over and maintain exam/procedure rooms between patients.
- Follow clinical, safety, and infection-control protocols while providing professional patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous Medical Assistant experience; clinical, surgical, or specialty experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and supporting minor procedures.
- Experience with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are highly preferred.
- Ability to provide professional clinical references, preferably from physician or clinical supervisors.
- Availability for a full-time weekday schedule, typically 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Willingness to work at Orange County locations, including Laguna Woods and Irvine.
