Job Title: Project Manager
Job Location: Sacramento, CA
Base Salary: $120K-160K
Requirements: 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience preferably on Water Infrastructure/Public works projects.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager in the civil engineering sector to oversee and manage construction projects related to heavy civil works, specifically in water, sewer, and wastewater treatment plants. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage the execution of these plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Manage project changes and ensure the project remains on track and within budget by monitoring and controlling project performance.
- Conduct risk management to minimize project risks and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project alignment and success.
- Lead the project team and provide guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction.
- Experience with water, sewer, wastewater treatment plants, and water storage projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification such as PMP or equivalent is a plus.
