Janitor Position - Now Hiring
Pay Rate: Starting at $16.90 per hour
Are you reliable, hardworking, and take pride in maintaining a clean and safe work environment? We are seeking a Janitor to join our manufacturing team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall condition of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of production areas, restrooms, and company grounds
- Clean machinery and equipment while properly disposing of waste products
- Assist with maintaining machine coolants and oils
- Properly dispose of manufacturing-related waste, including trash, scrap materials, coolant, and grinding waste
- Follow regulations regarding the identification, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste
- Support company quality, environmental, and workplace safety programs
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous janitorial, custodial, manufacturing, or related experience is a plus
- Ability to read basic instructions and complete simple documentation
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills, including navigating files and internet software
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands and arms
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
