Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Prior experience as a school nurse, public health RN, or similar setting
- Familiarity and hands-on background with IEP development and implementation
- One-to-one (1:1) nursing care experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to adapt in dynamic educational environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 health care and medical support to a student throughout the school day
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and manage necessary health interventions as outlined in the IEP
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and supports are in place
- Monitor and document the student’s health status, responding swiftly to any changes or emergencies
- Engage with families to provide updates and recommendations related to the student's care
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing medical insights and care planning
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school climate for the student
