Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Prior experience as a school nurse, public health RN, or similar setting
  • Familiarity and hands-on background with IEP development and implementation
  • One-to-one (1:1) nursing care experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic educational environments

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 health care and medical support to a student throughout the school day
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and manage necessary health interventions as outlined in the IEP
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and supports are in place
  • Monitor and document the student’s health status, responding swiftly to any changes or emergencies
  • Engage with families to provide updates and recommendations related to the student's care
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing medical insights and care planning
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school climate for the student
