Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students at a single elementary school site near Moreno Valley, CA. This position offers a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week, where you'll positively impact the lives of young learners in both general education and special day class programs, managing a caseload of approximately 45-55 students.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current California SLP license or credential required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity working with elementary-aged children in both general education and special education environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans and conduct comprehensive assessments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students as outlined in IEPs
- Develop goals and treatment strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to support student success and integration
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, attendance, and assessment results in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and interventions
