Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Commercial Glaziers for projects located in the Van Nuys, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install glass in storefronts, curtain walls, windows, doors, skylights, mirrors, shower enclosures, and glass railing systems
- Measure, cut, grind, and polish glass to precise specifications
- Install and secure metal, wood, and vinyl framing systems
- Apply sealants, gaskets, and weatherproofing materials to ensure watertight and airtight installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Safely handle and install large glass panels and glazing systems
- Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project schedules
Responsibilities
- 7+ years of commercial glazing experience
- Strong experience with storefronts, curtain walls, and commercial glass systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and shop drawings
- Knowledge of glazing tools, sealants, and installation methods
