This role supports day-to-day warehouse operations by handling inventory, operating forklifts, performing shipping and receiving tasks, and completing accurate data entry. The position requires a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and contribute to smooth warehouse workflows.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy of quantities and product descriptions.
- Prepare, package, and stage outgoing orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move, load, and unload materials.
- Use RF scanners to pick, track, and verify inventory and orders.
- Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Update inventory records and shipment information using computer-based data entry systems.
- Organize and maintain warehouse areas to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues and report findings promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while handling equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve inventory or shipping discrepancies.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of inventory handling, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required in a warehouse setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
- Previous experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SOUTH EL MONTE, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr.
