Job Description
You will serve as the site subject matter expert for trade compliance and will help build, manage, and maintain compliant processes across import, export, customs, classification, licensing, audits, training, and internal controls. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands regulated manufacturing and wants more ownership than they may currently have in a larger corporate structure.

Function

- \n
- Trade Compliance Program Ownership
- Develop, implement, and maintain import and export compliance processes
- Ensure business transactions comply with applicable U.S. import and export regulations
- Support compliance with CBP, BIS, ITAR, EAR, and related requirements
- Help establish and maintain trade compliance procedures, documentation, and internal controls
- Classification, Licensing, and Master Data
- Manage HTS and ECCN classifications
- Support country of origin, valuation, and related trade data requirements
- Monitor export and import activity to ensure proper approvals, licenses, exemptions, or exceptions are in place
- Prepare, submit, track, and renew export license applications and authorizations
- Audits, Risk, and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct internal trade compliance audits and risk assessments
- Identify compliance gaps and help implement corrective actions
- Investigate and support resolution of potential trade compliance issues
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to internal processes

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of import and export compliance experience
- Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, CBP, and U.S. Customs requirements
- Hands on experience with HTS and ECCN classification
- Experience supporting export licensing, exemptions, exceptions, and authorizations
- Must work onsite
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Strong Excel skills for reporting, tracking, and data analysis

Required Skills
\n
- \n
- Aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience
- Experience working with systems such as ACE, Epicor, or similar platforms
- Licensed Customs Broker certification
- Experience supporting internal audits, corrective actions, and compliance training

Pay range and compensation package

$120k-$150k
\n
