Overview
We are assisting a client of ours that is seeking an experienced and motivated Controller to join a well-established company in the Visalia area. This is a confidential search for a hands-on accounting professional who can oversee all aspects of the accounting function while providing accurate financial reporting and supporting company operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing the full accounting cycle independently. Experience in the agricultural or packing house industry is a plus, and experience with NetSuite ERP is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and cash management.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with external CPAs during year-end financial statement and tax preparation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
- Support ownership and management by providing timely financial information for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with Controller or Full-Charge Accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP required or strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in agriculture, food processing, or the packing house industry is highly desirable.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
