Job Description
We are seeking a warehouse logistics gate clerk with experience. The gate is responsible for managing the flow of inbound and outbound trucks, verifying shipping documentation, maintaining accurate gate records, and ensuring compliance with company security and safety procedures. This role serves as the first point of contact for drivers and visitors and supports efficient warehouse and transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify driver identification, vehicle information, and scheduled appointments.
- Check inbound and outbound shipments against bills of lading (BOLs), delivery orders, packing lists, and other shipping documents.
- Record truck arrivals, departures, trailer numbers, seal numbers, and shipment details in the warehouse management system (WMS) or transportation management system (TMS).
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel, dispatchers, carriers, and security staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of freight.
- Issue gate passes, dock assignments, and visitor badges.
- Monitor gate activity to ensure compliance with company security and safety policies.
- Inspect trailers for proper seals, visible damage, and required documentation before entry or exit.
- Report shipment discrepancies, damaged freight, unauthorized access, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of all gate transactions.
- Answer driver inquiries and provide directions to loading docks or designated staging areas.
- Support inventory control and logistics teams by ensuring accurate shipment documentation.
- Perform general administrative and data entry duties as assigned.
