We are looking for an experienced executive leader/ VP of HR to oversee financial strategy and accounting operations for our organization in Novato, California. This role will guide budgeting, reporting, and close processes while strengthening financial controls and supporting informed business decisions. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting knowledge, strong leadership capability, and a hands-on approach to building efficient, accurate financial practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead company-wide people strategy, workforce planning, and talent initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Partner with executives on organizational design, succession planning, leadership effectiveness, and major business decisions.
- Oversee talent acquisition, employer branding, workforce forecasting, and recruiting performance.
- Develop compensation, rewards, pay equity, and benefits programs that support growth and compliance.
- Lead employee relations, HR compliance, policy development, risk management, and labor-related matters.
- Drive culture, employee engagement, leadership development, and DEI programs across the organization.
- Oversee HR systems, analytics, budgeting, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
- Build and mentor a high-performing HR team while fostering accountability, strategic thinking, and continuous development.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior executive leadership.
- Strong business and HR expertise, aligning workforce strategies with organizational goals.
- Proven success leading organizational growth, transformation, and change initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of California and multi-state employment laws, employee relations, and compliance.
- Experience leading key HR functions such as talent acquisition, compensation, organizational development, and HR operations.
- Skilled in workforce analytics, HR systems, and data-driven decision making.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence leaders, boards, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high-performing HR teams.
- Expertise in talent management, succession planning, compensation strategy, and organizational effectiveness.
