A healthcare facility is seeking two experienced pharmacists to assist during a critical EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) conversion. This contract opportunity involves supporting daily pharmacy operations while permanent staff focus on implementing and troubleshooting the new software system. The assignment will provide valuable experience working with both Cerner and EPIC platforms in a dynamic clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmacy care during an EPIC EMR conversion, ensuring continuity of safe and effective medication management.
- Collaborate with healthcare and IT teams to support clinical workflow adjustments related to the software change.
- Staff evening shifts, maintaining high standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with troubleshooting medication-related issues arising during the system transition.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacist license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Hands-on experience with both Cerner and EPIC EMR systems within the last 5 years.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a pharmacist within an organization or through successful contract assignments involving these systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to commit to 48 hours per week.
Schedule:
- Evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM (12-hour shifts).
- Orientation sessions available August 3rd or August 17th.
- Contract duration: 8 weeks.
