Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credential with a Special Education endorsement or equivalent state certification
  • Experience working in special education settings, particularly with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong classroom management skills and familiarity with various learning and behavioral needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, both with students and multidisciplinary staff
  • Flexibility and problem-solving mindset to adapt instruction for diverse learning styles

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
  • Regularly assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize development
  • Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning experiences
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavioral interventions
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, faculty consultations, and professional development opportunities
