Position Summary
Blue Rock Springs Golf Course is seeking energetic, customer-focused individuals to join our Guest Services/Outside Services team. This position plays a vital role in creating an outstanding experience for every golfer from arrival to departure. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, preparing and staging golf carts, assisting with golf bags, maintaining the practice facility, and ensuring the golf course operation runs efficiently throughout the day.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, providing exceptional customer service, and being part of a fast-paced team environment. While previous golf experience is not required, a passion for the game and an appreciation for the golf course environment are highly valued and will help you succeed in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude upon arrival.
- Provide valet-style service at the bag drop by assisting guests with unloading and loading golf bags.
- Transport golf bags between the bag drop area, bag storage, and assigned golf carts.
- Prepare, stage, and organize golf carts before each round.
- Ensure golf carts are clean, fully charged, operating properly, and stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, tees, sand/seed bottles, water, and other required amenities.
- Inspect carts for damage or mechanical issues and promptly report concerns to management or the golf course mechanic.
- Greet golfers as they finish their round, clean golf clubs, unload equipment, and assist guests back to their vehicles or bag storage.
- Wash, sanitize, and recharge golf carts after each use while maintaining a clean and organized cart storage area.
- Operate and maintain the driving range by:
- Collecting range balls using the ball picker.
- Washing and sorting range balls.
- Refilling range ball dispensers.
- Maintaining teeing areas.
- Emptying trash receptacles.
- Refilling water stations.
- Keeping the practice facility clean, safe, and presentable.
- Assist with tournament preparation, special events, and outings as needed.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the clubhouse entrance, bag drop area, cart staging area, practice facilities, and surrounding grounds.
- Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere by providing guests with information, directions, and assistance throughout their visit.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while operating golf carts, utility vehicles, and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- No golf industry experience necessary—we will train the right individual.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
