Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential required
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Positive, flexible attitude and a deep commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and goals
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
- Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications as needed
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate documentation
- Partner with colleagues and families to advocate for students and support their academic, social, and emotional growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
