Embark on a rewarding full-time contract opportunity working with elementary students in a supportive school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position focuses on students in grades 4th through 6th with moderate to severe needs (ESN/Mod/Severe). You’ll play a key role in helping learners reach their fullest potential, collaborate with families and staff, and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The contract runs from August 13, 2026, to June 3, 2027.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must hold an active California Education Specialist Credential (ESN or Mod/Severe)
- Experience working with elementary-age students in special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
- Skilled at creating individualized programs tailored to a diverse range of abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and team members
- Creative problem-solving and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for students with moderate/severe needs in 4th-6th grades
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to meet students’ unique learning styles and requirements
- Track progress and collect relevant data to inform instruction and report on goals
- Foster a respectful, engaging, and safe classroom community
- Participate in professional development opportunities, meetings, and required trainings

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
