Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing top-notch school-based physical therapy services for the upcoming academic year. This contract role, beginning August 18th and ending June 6th, offers a full-time schedule with 30+ hours each week, Monday through Friday. You'll enjoy a supportive environment while helping young learners reach their maximum potential through tailored physical therapy interventions.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid California licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Skilled in adapting therapy approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments
Your Role Will Include:
- Assessing students’ motor skills and creating individualized treatment plans
- Delivering therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, within the school setting
- Tracking progress, documenting outcomes, and adjusting plans as needed
- Working closely with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to support student goals
- Consulting with families to encourage at-home support for therapy milestones
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
