Core Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Wash, cut, and measure ingredients to pre-cook or prepare items to order.
- Equipment Operation: Use commercial grills, griddles, ovens, and deep-fat fryers.
- Order Fulfillment: Follow kitchen tickets or verbal instructions to cook the exact number of items requested quickly.
- Quality Control: Verify that finished food meets temperature, taste, and presentation standards.
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Clean workstations, cooking surfaces, and utensils, and maintain health code standards.
- Inventory & Stocking: Restock workstations, rotate ingredients, and help unload supply deliveries. [1, 2, 3]
Requirements & Skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under high-pressure conditions.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (e.g., maintaining a valid Food Handler’s card).
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with front-line cashiers and management.
