Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team in Sacramento, CA! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate Montessori-based curriculum for toddlers
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and prepared classroom environment
- Observe and document each child's developmental progress and milestones
- Foster independence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth in young learners
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support classroom and school goals
- Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Experience working with toddlers or young children in an early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of or training in Montessori philosophy and methodology preferred
- Minimum 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required; AA or degree preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
- Patient, warm, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
- Ability to meet California Title 22 licensing requirements
