Compensation: $24.00 - $25.00 / Per Hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist I to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is looking to grow their career with a stable organization.
The Accounts Payable Specialist I will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely payment processing. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and committed to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
- Perform invoice matching and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items.
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status and account issues.
- Prepare invoices for weekly payment processing and assist with check runs.
- Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation.
- Generate and distribute accounts payable reports.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve invoice and coding discrepancies.
- Participate in special projects and provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Experience working in a high-volume invoice processing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience supporting multiple locations or business units is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
