Job DescriptionThe Fountain Group is currently seeking a Senior Category Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Foster City, CA. Details for the position are as follows:
Pay Rate : $100 to 105 Hourly on W2 - Onsite/Hybrid Position in Foster City. 3 days/week
Title : Assoc Director Commercial Services (Senior Category Manager)
Duration : 12+ Months assignment, possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
Location: 333 Lakeside Drive - Foster City, CA
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 9+ years Strategic Sourcing/Procurement experience, Category Management, Contract Negotiation, Performance Measurement, Contract Negotiation, Project Management, Business Analysis, Change Management experience
- Bachelors degree required.
- 5+ years experience in the below
- Strategic Sourcing/Procurement experience

- Project Management
- Change Management experience (preferred)
Skills
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology with pragmatism to manage exceptions
- Ability to develop category and sourcing strategies by identifying opportunity areas
- Track record of effectively directing and leveraging procurement spend in assigned category areas by leading global cross functional teams
- Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Strong leadership presence and negotiation/contract management experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience with procurement/spend systems data and analysis
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities to develop sourcing team
Ability to apply change management and consulting skills/knowledge and expertise
