Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Active California SLP license or eligibility to obtain before start
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially at elementary level
- Strong skills working with mild/moderate caseloads
- Ability to effectively manage time and travel between 1-2 school sites
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students with varying needs
- Conduct assessments, write evaluation reports, and develop IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize student success
- Monitor progress, maintain records, and update documentation per district and federal guidelines
- Support inclusive educational environments and advocate for student communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development as needed
