Overnight Dog Care Attendant Night Shift
Job Description
Job DescriptionSalary: $18.50-$20 DOE
Some People Are Morning People.
We're Hiring the Other Kind.
If you're naturally a night owl, you probably already know that the traditional daytime work schedule wasn't designed for everyone.
Maybe you like working while most of the city is asleep.
Maybe you prefer being trusted with your responsibilities instead of having someone looking over your shoulder all day.
And maybe, given the choice between spending your shift dealing with crowds of customers or taking care of dogs, the dogs win pretty easily.
If so, we'd like to talk to you.
The Wags Club is an established cage-free dog daycare and boarding facility serving Santa Monica and West Los Angeles, and we're hiring Overnight Dog Care Attendants.
Shift: 9:00 PM7:00 AM
We're open to both:
Part-time: At least two nights per week
Full-time: Four nights / 40 hours per week
What Overnight Is Really Like
Once the daytime operation winds down, the pace changes.
But the responsibility doesn't.
Our boarding dogs need someone there throughout the night to keep them safe, comfortable, clean, and properly cared for.
You'll:
Supervise and monitor dogs overnight
Watch for changes in health, behavior, or comfort
Handle scheduled feedings and medications
Clean and sanitize play and sleeping areas
Complete laundry and routine facility cleaning
Keep the facility organized
Prepare everything the morning team needs
Report unusual behavior, illness, or other concerns
You'll Have Independence. We Expect You to Use It.
There isn't a manager standing next to you assigning a new task every five minutes.
For the right person, that's one of the best parts of the job.
You know what needs to be accomplished, you manage your time, and you get it done.
We're looking for someone who can stay productive when things are quiet, pay attention to the dogs, and recognize that working independently means more trust and responsibility not less work.
You May Be Our Kind of Night Person If...
You're genuinely comfortable staying awake and productive overnight
You like working independently
You're dependable enough that people don't have to wonder whether you'll show up
You notice things without needing them pointed out
You don't mind cleaning
You follow detailed instructions accurately
You're comfortable around dogs of every size and personality
You take pride in leaving things ready for the next shift
Pet-care experience is helpful, but not required.
We'll train someone with the right work ethic and attitude.
