Location: Oceanside, North San Diego County.
14 machines currently running, Okuma CNC & Lathes
Products: Flanges, tubing, Pipe Fittings
- Stainless Steel Flanges: Weld Neck, Slip-On, Lap Joint, Blind, Threaded, Socket weld
- Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings: Buttweld & Threaded
Shift schedule: 1:30 PM -10:00 PM
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a leadership role within a machine shop production environment
- Experience with Set up and operation of Okuma mills & lathes highly desired
- Nice to have CNC programming
- Ability to develop setup/operational documents, machine tooling/fixtures and safety
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiar with First Articles and Corrective Actions
- Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Setting up raw materials into chucks or fixtures.
- Installing and aligning cutting tools in turrets or carousels.
- Loading, verifying, and executing pre-written part programs.
- Measuring and inspecting finished parts using calipers and micrometers.
- Adjusting tool wear offsets to maintain strict part tolerances.
- Monitoring machining processes for unusual sounds or vibrations.
- Performing daily machine maintenance, including checking coolant and oil levels.
- Clearing metal chips and debris from the machine workspace.
