Job Summary
We are seeking Production Operators (Rippers/Folders) to support the manufacturing of shingle products. This position involves manually folding roof ridges using gloved hands and performing production, safety, housekeeping, cleanup, startup, shutdown, and basic maintenance-related tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manually fold roof ridges using gloved hands (no tools or machinery required for this task)
- Meet production expectations, including a target of 12 boxes per hour
- Follow established safety procedures, work instructions, and training guidelines
- Support manufacturing operations and product quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with startup, shutdown, cleanup, and other production-related activities as assigned
- Follow all company safety policies and avoid unsafe work practices
Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks in a production environment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating instructions
- Must provide and wear personal safety shoes that meet workplace requirements
- Must wear a long-sleeve shirt containing at least a 35% cotton blend
- Ability to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All other required PPE will be provided by the company.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and arms for repetitive folding tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform assigned duties safely with required PPE
