This contract role is tailored for a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) eager to support students with diverse needs in a supportive educational environment. The position encompasses working with an elementary-aged caseload presenting primarily mild to moderate needs, spanning one to two nearby sites.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in California
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech and language services
- Solid understanding of evidence-based interventions for elementary-aged students
- Proficiency in evaluating and developing individualized treatment plans for mild to moderate caseloads
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff, parents, and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and compile relevant documentation
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain accurate, timely records and reports
- Rotate between one to two sites as required to efficiently manage caseload
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise
