Job DescriptionAppleOne is pleased to partner with a client in south Orange County needing an experience accountant. This is a temporary (up to 6 months) role.
Must-Have Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience (government/municipal accounting preferred).
-Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and year-end close.
-Experience preparing financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting annual audits.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
-Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
-Knowledge of federal, state, and local accounting regulations.
-Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
