A warehouse worker is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage, label and store items in designated locations, and update inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts, maintain accurate stock levels, and report discrepancies or damaged goods
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment, performing routine maintenance checks as needed
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Compliance and Safety: Follow company policies, GMP, HACCP, and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and handle heavy items safely
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and inventory management systems
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and efficient workflow
