Support young students as a paraprofessional with contract openings for the upcoming academic year, starting August 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Multiple full-time positions are available across several elementary school locations, with schedules from either 7:45am–2:45pm or 8:00am–3:00pm to support before and after-school coverage. Candidates will be matched to classrooms in general education settings, working with either Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten students or 1st through 5th graders.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide is highly desired
- Must be willing and able to assist young children with toileting/diapering as needed
- Strong communication skills and positive rapport with elementary-aged students
- Flexibility and a collaborative attitude for supporting classroom teachers and adapting to students’ needs
- Must complete district-required para training prior to the start date
- Comfortable working full-time (32.5 hours/week) during the academic calendar
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on classroom support to students and teachers, fostering a positive learning environment
- Assist with daily activities, classroom management, and individualized support for students’ academic and social development
- Engage children in age-appropriate tasks and learning exercises
- Supervise students during classroom, lunch, recess, and transitions between activities
- Support students’ needs with compassion and professionalism, including assistance with toileting when necessary
