As a Security Officer Reception in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help to deter security-related incidents while contributing to smooth daily operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, delivery disputes, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocol.
- Document visitor activity, truck arrivals and departures, and/or unusual events through logs, reports, and communication with site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, loading zones, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
