Job DescriptionThis is a hands-on Shift Lead position, working side by side with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest service. Our bakery hours are 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM, offering early mornings but no late nights.As we celebrate our 45th year in business, we are looking for a dependable, motivated leader who wants to grow with a long-standing, family-oriented business. This role includes two consecutive days off, with one full weekend off each month.The Shift Lead supports daily operations, sets the tone for the team during their shift, and helps maintain our high standards for service, quality, and cleanliness.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead by example while working alongside the team during your shiftOpen and/or close the bakery and ensure smooth shift transitionsSupport and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer serviceOversee daily operations including food service, order flow, and barista supportAssist with training new team members on service standards, food safety, and bakery proceduresEnsure proper cash handling and accurate use of POS systems (Square POS experience preferred)Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the bakeryAddress guest questions or concerns promptly and professionallyCommunicate effectively with management regarding staffing, operations, and shift needs
Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious leadership or shift-lead experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment preferredStrong communication and people skillsAbility to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced, early-morning environmentComfortable with cash handling and point-of-sale systems (Square POS a plus)Dependable, organized, and solution-orientedPassion for hospitality and teamwork

Sun: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. depending on bakery needs
Participating in rotating weekends / one weekend off a month is an option for this position
