Temp Maintenance Technician
Schedule: 1st Shift – 7:30am–4:00pm (Mon–Thurs) Every other Friday 7:00am–3:30pm
Pay Rate: $30-$34/hr DOE
Assignment: Temporary – 3month possibility for extension
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled building maintenance, repair, and installation work to maintain facilities, housing units, and equipment in safe and efficient operating condition. Works independently and exercises sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance including carpentry, painting, flooring, roofing, and minor structural repairs.
Conduct HVAC preventative maintenance (filters, belts, adjustments).
Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs, including fixtures, drains, and appliances.
Install and repair doors, locks, cabinets, and household appliances.
Troubleshoot mechanical systems and respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Operate light-duty trucks and tools; assist with material handling and contractor coordination.
Maintain accurate work logs and reports. Must be willing to assist with porter ground cleaning as well.
Qualifications:
Experience in general building maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs. Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. Must have HS diploma or GED
