We are seeking experienced industrial mechanic responsible for repair and maintenance of food manufacturing and facility equipment. The successful candidate is expected to be knowledgeable in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of machines and equipment.
Maintenance Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on food production and facility equipment, including air compressors, exhausts, forklifts
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Fabricate and weld steel, SS as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high and low voltage
- Install and replace motors, conveyors, chains, bearings, bushings, etc
- Knowledge of programming logic controllers (PLCs), variable drive (VFD), sensors, etc.
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
