Associate Medical Director (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)
Outpatient Primary Care | Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $300,000 Base + $15,000 Sign-On Bonus

An established, mission-driven outpatient healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Associate Medical Director to provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active patient panel. This is an excellent opportunity for an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician with prior leadership experience who is looking to advance their career in an outpatient setting.
This position combines 50% clinical care and 50% administrative leadership, overseeing two nearby outpatient primary care clinics while working closely with the Chief Medical Officer.
Position Highlights
•Full-Time
•Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
•No Nights or Weekends
•$300,000 Annual Base Salary
•$15,000 Sign-On Bonus
•20 Hours Clinical / 20 Hours Administrative
•Approximately 11 patients per 4-hour clinic session
•EPIC EMR
•Leadership opportunity with direct physician oversight
•Stable, collaborative outpatient practice
Responsibilities
•Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult and family medicine patients.
•Supervise and mentor Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants across two clinic locations.
•Partner with the Chief Medical Officer on provider performance, quality improvement, peer review, and clinical operations.
•Manage provider schedules, patient panels, staffing, and clinic workflows.
•Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
•Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols.
•Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
•Participate in patient care while maintaining high clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required
•MD or DO
•Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
•Active California Medical License (or ability to obtain before start)
•Minimum 3-5 years of recent outpatient primary care experience
•Previous physician leadership or management experience
•Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
Preferred
•Community Health Center or FQHC experience
•EPIC EMR experience
•Managed Care experience
•Bilingual in Spanish, Korean, or Russian
