Mentor the Next Generation of School-Based SLPs
At EdTheory, we believe great clinical fellows SLPs deserve great mentors. We're seeking experienced, passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC-SLPs) who are excited to guide and support new graduate RPE and SLPA SLPs as they begin their professional journey. Must be in CA for on-site supervision hours.

Qualifications
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must:
- Hold a valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Maintain an active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- (CCC-SLP)
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of school-based SLP experience
- Complete required supervision professional development:
- Initial 6 hours of supervision-focused CEUs prior to beginning supervision
- 3 hours of supervision-focused CEUs every four years thereafter
- Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Have a passion for supporting and developing new clinicians
- EdTheory can assist with obtaining required supervision CEUs if needed
Supervisors are expected to:
- Provide 8 hours of direct supervision per month for each full-time RPE
- Provide 8 hours of direct supervision per week for each part-time RPE
- Initial SLPA supervision must be direct (on-site) observation and guidance for at least 20% of the SLPA's total workweek duties
- Ongoing SLPA supervision must be at least 20% of the SLPA's work schedule weekly, with no less than 10% being direct supervision
- Maintain supervision documentation and compliance requirements
- Offer ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional support
- Ensure high-quality service delivery and ethical clinical practice
Compensation
- EdTheory provides a monthly supervision stipend for each clinician supervised.
- Qualified supervisors may begin by supervise one RPE/CF and/or SLPAs and have the opportunity to supervise up to three clinicians annually, in accordance with California Board guidelines.
