Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ESN Teacher to support students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and helping students achieve their academic and social goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct instruction in small group or one-on-one settings
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to accommodate different learning abilities
- Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
- Ensure compliance with school policies and special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education
- Prior experience working with children with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities
- Knowledge of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching tools
