About Treasure Pest
Treasure Pest is a new premium residential pest control company serving South Orange County.
We are building something different: a local, customer-first pest control brand that feels professional, modern, personable, and trustworthy — not corporate, not gimmicky, and not just another “spray and go” service.
Our focus is simple: provide excellent general residential pest control, communicate clearly with homeowners, and build long-term recurring relationships in the communities we serve.
We are based in South Orange County and will serve areas like San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, and nearby communities.
This is a rare opportunity for the right licensed Branch 2 Operator to help build and scale a high-quality local pest control company from the ground up.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a licensed California Branch 2 Operator who wants more than a standard pest control job.
Yes, we need someone who is excellent in the field. But we are not looking for “just a guy who sprays bugs.”
We are looking for a long-term operator, leader, and potential partner — someone who takes pride in doing great work, cares about customers, understands compliance, and is excited by the idea of helping build a premium pest control business in South OC.
The right person is:
- Licensed as a California Branch 2 Operator
- Professional, personable, honest, and reliable
- Strong with homeowners and customer communication
- Highly attentive to safety, documentation, and compliance
- Comfortable with technology, digital reports, scheduling tools, and customer communication systems
- Entrepreneurial or at least curious about helping build something long-term
- Hungry, humble, and high-integrity
- Excited by the idea of getting in early and helping shape how the company operates
Why This Role Is Different
Most pest control roles are built around routes, quotas, and volume.
This role is different.
Treasure Pest is being built by two local founders with deep experience in marketing, branding, customer experience, paid advertising, and business systems. We are bringing the demand generation, website, booking engine, brand, AI phone support, customer workflows, and growth strategy.
What we need is the right technical and operational leader.
You would help shape:
- Our service standards
- Treatment protocols
- Customer experience
- Field documentation
- Recurring service model
- Product and equipment recommendations
- Safety and compliance practices
- Future technician hiring and training
- How Treasure Pest becomes known as the premium local pest control company in South OC
For the right person, this could become a true long-term leadership opportunity with performance-based upside and potential ownership/profit-sharing.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a licensed Branch 2 Operator for general residential pest control work
- Help Treasure Pest launch and operate in a compliant, professional way
- Perform residential pest inspections and treatments
- Treat common household pests such as ants, spiders, earwigs, silverfish, crickets, occasional invaders, and other appropriate general pest issues
- Provide exterior-first and targeted treatments where appropriate
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners
- Explain service recommendations in simple, honest language
- Follow all label, safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate service records and digital reports
- Help create and improve company SOPs
- Help define what Treasure Pest should and should not offer at launch
- Provide feedback on scheduling, routing, pricing, and field operations
- Represent the brand with professionalism, warmth, and integrity
What We Are Not Launching With
We are intentionally starting focused.
At launch, Treasure Pest is not planning to offer:
- Fumigation
- Termite services
- Bed bug services
- Major rodent exclusion construction
- Wildlife trapping
- Commercial kitchen work
- High-liability specialty services outside our initial residential general pest focus
We want to build the business the right way: focused, compliant, high-quality, and scalable.
Requirements
- Active California Branch 2 Operator license required
- Valid California driver’s license
- Clean and insurable driving record
- Strong knowledge of general residential pest control
- Strong understanding of pesticide safety, labels, PPE, and compliance requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers
- Ability to use mobile apps, digital reports, calendar tools, and customer communication systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to work outside, walk properties, bend, kneel, climb, and access service areas as needed
- Professional appearance and customer-first attitude
- High integrity and strong personal accountability
Preferred
- Experience serving South Orange County homeowners
- Experience with recurring residential pest control routes
- Experience training or mentoring other technicians
- Experience helping manage compliance, documentation, or field operations
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Interest in long-term leadership, business building, or ownership upside
Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience, role fit, license status, and responsibilities.
Expected range: $65,000 – $90,000+ per year
For the right long-term person, we are open to discussing:
- Performance bonuses
- Production-based upside
- Review/customer experience bonuses
- Vehicle or mileage support
- Long-term leadership path
- Potential ownership/profit-sharing opportunity
We are a new company, so we may not offer the same traditional benefits package as a large national pest control company on day one. But we are serious about building something meaningful, compensating the right person fairly, and creating a long-term opportunity that can grow as the company grows.
What Kind of Person Will Thrive Here
You will probably enjoy this role if:
- You have ever thought, “I could help build a better pest control company.”
- You are tired of being just another number in a big operation.
- You like doing high-quality work and being trusted to do it right.
- You care about customers, not just production.
- You want to be part of a company from the beginning.
- You are excited by the idea of helping build a premium local brand.
- You are comfortable with high standards.
- You want long-term upside, not just another route.
What Might Be Hard About This Role
We are building from the ground up.
That means the right person needs to be comfortable with some startup energy. There will be systems to build, processes to improve, and decisions to make as we grow. We will not have every answer on day one.
But we will move fast, listen carefully, do things the right way, and build around quality.
