A full-time inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available at a medical center in Oxnard, CA. This contract role offers a 3 to 6 month assignment with potential to transition to a permanent position. Flexible scheduling includes mostly four 10-hour shifts per week, with occasional swing shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient pharmacy services, including medication dispensing and verification
- Ensure accurate, safe, and timely distribution of medications in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Collaborate with medical staff to support patient care plans
- Participate in medication use evaluations and clinical pharmacy activities
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid California Pharmacist license required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records is a plus, but training is available
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and work weekends/holidays as needed
Schedule:
- Full time hours
- Primarily four 10-hour shifts per week
- Some 8-hour and swing shifts included
- Occasional weekend and holiday coverage
