Armed Patrol Officer – Part-Time
Location: Orange, CA
Pay Range: $22.00 – $24.50 per hour
Additional Pay: $0.50 per hour in tax-free stipends for cell phone and equipment use.
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday - 06:30 - 15:00
Sunset Safety Agency is currently hiring dedicated and experienced Armed Patrol Officers to join our growing team in Orange County, CA. If you’re committed to public safety and have a strong background in security or law enforcement, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Overview:
As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence to help deter criminal activity. This role requires excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols of assigned client properties.
- Identify and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents requiring intervention.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Prepare clear and accurate daily activity and incident reports.
- Assist individuals during emergency situations and ensure public safety.
- Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or education in criminal justice is a plus).
- Valid California Guard Card and Firearm Permit (required).
- Prior experience in private security, military service, or law enforcement preferred.
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Proficiency in the use of radios, reporting tools, and other security technologies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
