Kimco Staffing is hiring an experienced 2nd Shift Centerless Grinder for a leading aerospace bearing manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled grinder with experience producing precision components in a fast paced manufacturing environment

Second Shift 1:30PM-12AM
Monday through Saturday with overtime as needed.
$22.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Summary
The Centerless Grinder is responsible for setting up and operating centerless and cylindrical grinding machines to manufacture precision aerospace components. This position requires a strong understanding of grinding processes, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate centerless and cylindrical grinding machines.
- Grind precision aerospace components to blueprint specifications.
- Select, install, and dress grinding wheels.
- Perform machine offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain tolerances to .0001 inch.
- Monitor part quality throughout production.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support overtime and production demands as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of centerless grinding experience.
- Experience with cylindrical grinding.
- Ability to perform complete machine setups.
- Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and wheel dressing.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good shop math skills including decimals and tight tolerances.
- Experience working with metals in a manufacturing environment.
- Dependable with a strong attention to detail and quality.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work safely around manufacturing equipment
