We are seeking an experienced Lead Warehouse Associate/Forklift Driver to oversee daily warehouse operations while supporting the team in achieving production and shipping goals. The ideal candidate will have previous lead experience, be proficient in operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks (EPJ), and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This position requires flexibility to work varying start times, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and support warehouse associates in daily operations.
- Assign, monitor, and prioritize workflow to ensure production and shipping deadlines are met.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks (EPJ) to move, load, unload, and stage materials.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment activities.
- Train and mentor new warehouse associates on company procedures and safety standards.
- Perform routine inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure all products are handled properly to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and team members regarding operational needs and issues.
- Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Lead or Team Lead required.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified).
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Basic computer and inventory management, WMS (Net Sweep) experience is a plus.
- Excellent attendance, dependability, and communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods.
