Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety regulations.
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all kitchen equipment is sanitized and properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food with attention to detail and presentation.
Requirements:
- Prior kitchen, food prep, or restaurant experience required
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
