Job Title: GI/Endoscopy Technician (Travel Contract)
Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95405
Pay Rate: $47/hour
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8 Hours)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced GI/Endoscopy Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Santa Rosa, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with endoscope reprocessing, high-level disinfection (HLD), instrument sterilization, and assisting in a fast-paced endoscopy environment.
Responsibilities :
- Clean, disinfect, and reprocess GI scopes and endoscopic instruments following SGNA and facility guidelines.
- Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and sterilization of reusable medical equipment.
- Assist with room setup and turnover between procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
- Inspect, test, and maintain endoscopy equipment for proper function.
- Ensure accurate documentation of instrument processing and sterilization records.
- Support physicians and nursing staff during endoscopy procedures as needed.

- Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) Scopes
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Scopes
- Enteroscopes
- ERCP Scopes
- Fiber Optic Scopes
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopes
- High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
- Instrument Processing & Cleaning
- Sterilization & Disinfection
- Room Turnover
- Aseptic Technique
Work Environment
- Inpatient Hospital
- Outpatient Endoscopy Center
Requirements
- Active California state license (if applicable)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or SGNA Certification required
- Previous GI/Endoscopy Technician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and endoscope reprocessing standards.
