Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology
- Experience with psychological assessments, behavior intervention planning, and counseling services in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures, including IEP development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and student-centered focus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, academic, and social-emotional evaluations to determine student needs
- Write comprehensive psychoeducational reports to support special education eligibility decisions
- Participate in multidisciplinary IEP and student support teams, offering expert recommendations
- Deliver individual and group counseling to support students’ mental health and social skills
- Collaborate with teachers and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Consult with school staff to create positive behavioral supports and inclusive learning environments
- Keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of your work
