  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment

A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Manufacturing SAW Technician to support the assembly, alignment, testing, and inspection of precision optical components and assemblies.

Manufacturing SAW Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform optical assembly, alignment, testing, inspection, and cleaning of precision optical components (lenses, mirrors, prisms, ROMs) using approved procedures and solvents.
  • Operate optical and mechanical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, autocollimators, interferometers, laser alignment systems, optical CMMs, laser rails, and computerized automated test systems while accurately recording test results.
  • Use hand tools, mechanical fixtures, and precision measuring equipment to assemble, align, and verify optical assemblies to specification.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by providing process feedback to engineers and assisting with the development and improvement of optical assembly processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, follow written and verbal work instructions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Manufacturing SAW Technician Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in optical inspection or optical manufacturing, including plano optics, prisms, and ROMs.
  • Experience with laser alignment systems, optical test systems, interferometers, optical CMMs, and related optical measurement equipment.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) programs and providing manufacturing process feedback to engineering.
  • Knowledge of optical components, including lenses, mirrors, prisms, and optical assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of basic optics principles and optical inspection techniques.
  • Intermediate math skills, including geometry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
