My client is hiring an entry level Test Engineer to operate test equipment and troubleshoot defective PCB and PCBA products. This is a Contract, 2nd Shift position. Training will be provided for the person with relevant skills. * Must be a US Citizen to be considered due to the US regulations for this role.
* Electrical engineering recent graduates or current students about to graduate encouraged to apply.
Duties:
· Troubleshoot, calibrate, and test electronic assemblies, instruments, and mechanical assemblies at the lower or component level.
· Operate production test equipment and troubleshooting defective products. (Flying-probe ICT testing of PCBAs)
· Perform detailed analysis on all test failures.
· Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
· Debug ICT / FT / Functional / RMAs/ Flying Probe test failures.
Qualifications:
· AA or BS Degree in electrical engineering or relevant degree
· 0 - 2 years of experience as a test technician (or college / internship experience)
· US Citizen
· Knowledge of components: resistors, transistors, diodes, capacitors and their working relationships within the electronic design
· Must be able to read diagrams, test data, and software output as well as BOMs and assembly drawings
· Good analytical skills
· Ability to read and understand schematics
· Previous experience with Takaya, Spea, Acculogic, Digital Test equipment (a plus)
· MS Office skills required
· Interfacing with customers a plus
