This contract opportunity is ideal for a talented and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking hands-on experience throughout the school year. Beginning August 11th and continuing through June 3rd, you'll work 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, making a meaningful impact on students' communication skills.
The ideal candidate will bring a passion for helping students succeed and will thrive in a collaborative school setting. In this supportive role, you'll work closely with experienced SLPs, implementing treatment plans and encouraging student growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program with current licensure/credentials as required
- Experience in school settings supporting students with diverse communication needs highly valued
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to follow SLP guidance
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with SLP-CCC standards and school-based practices is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out speech and language interventions as directed by supervising SLPs
- Support students in both individual and small group settings within the high or junior high school environment
- Gather and document data on student progress
- Assist in developing instructional materials tailored to students' needs
- Contribute positively to an inclusive, supportive school culture
