Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join a supportive middle school team in Lakeside, California for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates with a California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential are strongly preferred. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide school-based mental health services and help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

- Setting: Middle School
- School Year: August 18, 2026 – June 9, 2027
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Compensation: $60-$64/hour on a W-2, paid weekly

Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Provide individual and small group counseling services to middle school students
- Conduct mental health assessments and develop intervention plans as appropriate
- Support students experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, counselors, and families to promote student success
- Participate in Student Study Team (SST), IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and connect students and families with appropriate community resources when necessary
- Promote a positive and inclusive school climate through consultation and preventative mental health supports

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Active California LMFT or LCSW license
- California PPS Credential preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric behavioral health experience preferred
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention, and school-based mental health services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
