A leading healthcare provider on the California Central Coast seeks three experienced travel pharmacists to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists who want to utilize their clinical expertise in dynamic hospital settings with advanced technology platforms.
Positions available include:
- Two Day shifts: Four 10-hour days per week
- Two Night shifts: Seven days on, seven days off
Locations include healthcare facilities in San Luis Obispo and Templeton, CA. The roles require an ASAP start and a commitment of at least 13 weeks.
Key responsibilities:
- Order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing in fast-paced hospital units
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
- Providing clinical consultation to physicians and nurses for optimal patient care
- Managing pharmacokinetics and therapeutic drug monitoring
Ideal candidates will have:
- A valid California pharmacist license
- One or more years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with Cerner and Omnicell systems, with verified experience in both EPIC and Cerner electronic health records
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
